dotdae does not collect any personal information. There is no sign-up or login, and every
record you enter is stored only on your own device and is never transmitted to any server.
This policy is prepared in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of Korea and related laws.
1. Collection and Use of Personal Information
The app does not collect any personally identifiable information such as name, email, or phone number.
There is no sign-up, login, or account creation.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
The quit-smoking records you enter (smoking start date, cigarettes per day, pack price, quit attempts,
craving logs, etc.) are stored only in your device's local storage.
This data is never sent to any external server and cannot be accessed by any third party, including the app operator.
If Auto Backup is enabled on your Android device, your app data may be backed up to
your own Google account. This backup is handled by Google under your account; the app operator has no access to it.
3. Provision to Third Parties & Outsourcing
Because the app collects no personal information, it does not provide data to third parties or outsource any processing.
4. Device Permissions
Notifications: used solely to display app notifications, such as the free-trial ending reminder.
You may deny this permission or change it anytime in device settings; denying it does not restrict the app's core features.
File access / sharing: used only for the file you select when you explicitly run
"Export / Import records," for saving or reading that file.
5. Retention and Destruction
All data is stored only on your device and is destroyed immediately when you run "Reset data"
in the app or uninstall the app. There is no separate retention period.
6. Your Rights
Through in-app features you can, at any time, view (the "Records" screen), edit ("Edit my info"),
export/import, and delete ("Reset data") your own data.
7. Advertising
The app currently shows no ads and collects no advertising-related information.
If advertising is introduced in the future, an advertising identifier (e.g., Android
Advertising ID (AAID), iOS Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA)) may be collected and used by ad providers to
deliver ads. In that case, this policy will be revised in advance and users will be notified within the app.
8. Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under the age of 14 and does not knowingly collect children's personal information.
